East Vinewood gets its name from East Hollywood and is based on the areas of Thousand Oaks in Ventura County, Echo Park and Silver Lake in Los Angeles, California. East Vinewood is characterized as a budding middle-class neighborhood, with an abundance of single-story family homes along its streets.
Signs of growth are evident in the area, as evidenced by the numerous construction sites in the eastern regions with new housing structures being built. However, the northern portion of East Vinewood shows signs of being in a state of neglect, with several abandoned businesses and buildings and a notable presence of gang activity.
